Looking for a particular case mod

I remember seeing a particular case that had an integrated hub/switch that somebody disassembled, rewired it, and punched down all of their own ports. It was some sort of game server. Any ideas?

I'm looking to emulate something like that on my new case, but I just need some ideas.

I tried googling it.
 
I'd look at a really cheap switch, like the cheap one on NE (it was $9 last I checked) and just bust it out of its box and punch some holes in the case for it. 3 problems to look into:

- Perhaps you could hardwire 1 port to an ethernet card so you don't need a loopback cable?
- Power supply. If it's not 5 or 12v, you'll need to power it somehow
- Positioning. I'd guess over the PCI slots would be okay, but it depends what case you start on.

The one that I remember was a much bigger project. Like a 16 port or 24 port switch.
