I have a cyber power cp1000avrlcd that is probably at least 5 years old. a year ago it started randomly turning off everything that was plugged into it and it said "overload" on the display. I emailed tech support and they thought it was the battery. well a year later I plugged in another battery from a belkin modem ups. it seemed to be working fine for a few days then it did the same thing. I was looking at the APC 1000VA, but it looks like it uses a proprietary battery which costs double what it should, that kinda annoys me.
from the research I did, while gaming my pc uses about 400 watt, monitor uses 50, and modem uses 20
