Hey fellas logitech mouse sucks it kinda slips its lazer but it sucks. Im looking for a mouse that will be good for grpahics and gaming. I dont think i want to spend over 90 dollars for one though. Anyone have any suggestions on what i can get?

thats a great price ive heard of those but i though they were like 100 dollars and i dont want to give that much for a mouse.

nice ill get that one then. its 1600DPI is that good? how much is a 30 dollar one like 1000

umm...yeah the MX518 is the best gaming mouse out right now. I can't see why someone would hate it unless their a n00b and whack it on stuff alot.

im going to get the mx518 now cause its only 41 and its 1600dpi as well and i saw alot of good reviews for it.

The MX518 is the best. I cant stand wireless mice... so I wont even get into that.

Believe it or not im using the Logitech Cordless click Plus! and quite enjoy it. I used to have the MX700 mouse and i can say its pretty much the same thing cept the wheel moves side to side (which is awesome for games)

518? Do you mean the 510? Guess they made a slightly updated version or something, but, lol, I'm not upgrading again, what I have is amazing as it is. Anyway, the 510 is the absolute best bang for the buck when it comes to gaming if you ask me. Now, for graphics, MAYBE a MX-1000 could benefit you, but, it's unlikely unless you need some pretty darned serious precision...

how do they justify $50 for a mouse

The fact that, unlike a cheap mouse, it has good R&D put into things such as it's shape so that it fits in your hand correctly, it uses high quality components that don't fall apart, and it has a very nice resolution and image recognition. Etc, etc.

It's worth it. I bought this mouse not expecting to get much and was simply wowed at the difference (though I must admit it took me a short while to get used to a few things like the fact that the forward button is on the left side, but, once I did, I found it was better.)

Oh, and I doubt the MX1000 has lag, but, like I said, it's a bit overkill for even gamers so really I think it's silly to buy one. If you want to improve your accuracy, spend the extra money on some high quality mouse pad or something. ^_^

Some people have told me that the Mx1000 has alittle bit of lag, am i wrong?

I have a mx1000, I have heard people claim that there is lag when you pick up the mouse off the mouse pad and set it back down, that there is a second or so before it starts tracking again. I have never noticed this, and even went about testing seeing if anything I could do would cause this, to no avail. The only lag I have ever noticed is when the mouse is off in its sleep mode it takes a split second or so to start tracking once you move it.

Also a few notes : Dont use the mx1000 with a cloth mouse pad. I have a very good cloth mousepad that works excellently on all regular optical mice (classic logitech, MS Intellimouse, and a MX300). However when used with the MX1000 there is very slightly skipping problems, which really gives the mouse crappy accuracy. I recently purchased a fUnc 1030 and I must say that the tracking is superb, not a single problem at all. When combined with a solid mousing surface the MX1000 is simply the best mouse out there (unless you absolutely need on the fly resolution adjustments).

Also, there is no lag whatsoever from the wireless, anyone who claims there is must be running a microwave w/o the shielding in between their mouse and reciever cause this thing is perfect. The battery life is great too, will easily last for 2 weeks of normal usage, and a few days of intense gaming. It doesn't take very long to charge either, as long as you keep it in its cradle over night every once and a while you will never have to worry about it running out of juice in the middle of a frag session.

I've used the Razorbacks.......IMO they suck, my hand cramped up in about 30 minutes, just a crappy mouse for any extended period of time IMO.

Now, I've used the MX500, MX510, MX700, MX1000, and IMO I love my MX510 (MX518 is an updated version) sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. Its an awesome mouse. Its amazingly smooth.

As for the wireless lag issues. I never had any of these at all. The MX700 and MX1000 were really awesome mice. Its just they were a bit heavy for me when it comes to gaming.
