Looking for a new Digital Camera, need some help

I am looking into getting a new digital camera. I plan on giving my old one (Canon Powershot S100) to my mom since her's was stolen from my sister's luggage when the airline lost it.

Anyway, I am looking for suggestions you might have in looking for a camera that might be suitable for me. I would be using it for college-use. Just pictures of friends and scenery.

I would like it to have the following specs:

- 3 Megapixels or higher
- Has to be small/lightwight but not too small
- Sony/Canon brand
- Memory Stick/Compact Flash
- Under 375$

I was at BB/CC/CompUSA the other day and I really liked the size of the Sony Cybershot cameras especially the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-P92. I was thinking about getting that so if you have that one, please tell me if there are any pros/cons about it besides the memory sticks being expensive.

I was going to buy at a retail store because I want to get the extended warranty incase I have any problems with it unless any online store offers extended warranty.

if you should happen to decide to get an a80 please take a set of AA's with you and test the lcd and focus of the camera before you leave the store.

Whoever put my first 2 together must have been having a bad day and hosed the lcd's. Im the only person I've heard of that had thta issue.
 
You can get an A80 for $350 from www.NewEgg.com if you get the Lexar 96 Mb CF card with it. The camera is regularly $362 and you save $40 if you get the $28 CF card with it, so you save $12 and get a halfway decent CF card with it. Newegg has free shipping and no tax if you're outside of California

I'll take a look into the Canon A80 @ BB/CC/CompUSA tomorrow and newegg charges sales tax in Tenn. and NJ if you didnt know.
