I've been looking at cases for a few weeks now and haven't really found much that appeals. I've owned a P180, Antec 900, Lian Li A05-b, Silverstone SG03 (which I still use, and will keep using). I'm looking for something below $300 shipped.

I love the Lian Li and Silverstone styling cues (barring their latest gaudy crap) and am looking for a case that lends itself well to cabling, minimizing noise (so 120mm fan mounts for aftermarket fans, unrestricted vents), and room for a crossfire system (mobo is not important- I use a crossfire matx board). I don't need hard drive space in particular or to use the optical drives- I love a minimalist look. I just want something that is easy to work in, cable cleanly.

The latest Silverstone FT01 cases looked pretty appealing but the negative review from bit-tech has me wondering. I've also looked at the Lian Li V1000 but haven't found any real inspiration either.

Does anybody have some quick suggestions, cases off the top of their heads that fit my needs? Or cases that really exceeded their initial expectation?

Strong candidates right now for me are the Antec Solo or Lian Li V350, possibly the LL V600.

Excellent. Just the sort of thing I was looking for. Any other suggestions?
Also, does the MM case rattle at all? Assembling it doesn't look to bad, but how is fitment and quality of manufacturing?

Well I will post some pictures and give you info on noise once I receive the case on Friday. They just released the tower model about 2 weeks ago. They are known for their giganto cube UFO cases which are top of the line quality.

I have a Lian Li pc-v2000b and I love it. But what has caught my eye recently is the Coolermaster ATCS 840. Its quite elegant, but not as wc friendly like the MM case.

If you are not going to wc anytime soon, the 840 has nice holes in the mobo tray for wiring and what not. It also has a hole behind where the cpu should be for easy installation and removal of heatsinks with backplates.

Some pics here, and here.

i believe they include fan brackets to replace the huge fans up top with 3x120mm, intended to make it wc friendly.

The Antec 900 is $59.99 with free shipping on NewEgg. Can't beat that deal IMO.

some good looking cases here- that S80 looks great.
I briefly considered the 900 but I've already owned and sold one- if I'm going to buy a case might as well get one I'd like to keep for a long time. Killer deal on that case though.

Funny you say that since the 840 gives you all the right fittings to mount a radiator in the case. Check the website for rads that are compatible

Does anyone have the Silverstone FT01? I read a couple reviews but want to hear some user input.

Open front cases are noisewise bad unless you want to hear noise of graphic cards at its "full glory".
Lian Li A10 and A20 have silencing friendly designs but multiple chambers makes setting cables where you want them harder like you probably noticed with P180.
If size isn't limited A71 would fit to that budget have space for managing cables:

How about the A+ Tagan Black Pearl. Here's a pic of the case:

It's really nice for watercooling and it has all the features of a lian li case except with a different layout (which I prefer).
I bet real manufacturer is Lian Li... that's design of V2000!
(in good and bad, lacking exhaust above mid case without adding fans)
