I'm looking for a new case for my build and im interested in cases that have the 25cm fans on the door. So far i have been looking at the thermaltake black armor case with the 25 cm fan, http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=371331 , but after seeing a few cases with 25cm fans im undecided.

Which case with that size of fan(s) on the door would be better to build a gaming system in? Atm im using a older server tower, but would like something that has alot more airflow, without getting into watercooling. I appreciate any opinions and help. Overall it seems like a better idea for more airflow to have a fan that big pointed right at the mobo vid card and other innnards.
 
The Thermaltake Armor hands down. I previously owned a armor, But not with the 25mm fan side panel, Now I own a Lian Li PC-A70, But the armor was nice.
 
Ty for the response, my main question is if at all how much airflow does the 25cm door fan create? Is it going to be a noticeable difference with having one?
 
The Tagan Alplus El Diablo has a 25cm intake fan and a massive 36cm side fan, although I'm not sure how well the interior compares to the armor. But the airflow does look better.
 
I'm looking for a new case too and this is another cheap mid-size case with a 25cm fan (~$60 MSRP I think so look around if you want it):

It looks more interesting than cases with screws and lots of smaller, louder fans that dont necessarily do a better cooling job. With a huge fan blowing right on the CPU, video card and motherboard, the cooling should be very good.

I have the Silver Aluminum Armor, and man unless you are going Silverstone or Lian Li, the armor is the best mid price case you can get. It is big and tall, the top part is plastic and can be removed for water cooling, the 25 cm fan is great keeps my system cool and it is quiet, then a 120 and a 92 in the back, a 92 on top and comes with a 120 in the front that hold 3 3.5 hard drives. Has 11 5.5 bays, with three 3.5 in the back right in front of the back 92. Pleanty of room for lights and 8800 GTX's. One con, there is no room behind the motherboard to run cables but there is room between the drive bays and the right side panel. Also it does not have a front door but it has those half shilds which prevent me from stepping or kicking in, but do not need much room to open. I know there are better built cases, but this was the case for me and I think you will like it.

If you want cheaper, I got my wife the enermax with a 25 cm on the side, and it does an awesome job.

What are you all talking about?

25"cm" is 9.8425 inches.

The correct one is:

25"mm" .985 inches.

A very hard thing to confuse.
 
You didn't misunderstand - he's just wrong. :D

10 mm = 1 cm (CENTImeter, as in, 1/100 of a meter)

25cm is the right number, or 250mm.

Anyway in the end I think the El Diablo has the best cooling and price overall. Sure, at 200-300+ dollars you can buy something bigger, with more louder and smaller fans, etc. but at ~100 bucks it's a great deal. This is so far the best one I could find and I'll probably order it soon. (unless someone recommends something better with large, quiet fans for around $100)
 
Thanks for the response guys :p Was thinking about the el diablo but after reading comments on the case and seeing it firsthand, the 360mm fan didnt move enough air to keep my friends case cool :( Looks like im going with the tt armor, its such a badass case. If i had 209$ to spend on a case i would definitely grab that coolermaster that you can put 4 120mm fans on the door.....mmmm getting ideas already :)

I thought you all were talking about the thickness of the fans. Since the average case fan is 25mm in thickness.

I did not you know you all were talking the other way around. And most people on these forums don't use "cm's" its usually mm's or inches.
