i have a radeon 5850 pcie 2.0 vid card,looking to upgrade for about 100$,I only have 650watt power supply.got a maximus formula 3 motherboard.what is the best card i can get,and can u run a 3.0 card on a 2.0 motherboard.
 
you need to list your specs in detail including exact model of psu and the resolution you want to play at.

and you will not be upgrading for 100 bucks if its a new card you want.
 
And yes to your last question. You can, it'll just be at the slower 2.0 link speed.
