Looking for a replacement for my 8800gt. Would like to stay around $200 - $250.
Current setup is a E8400 with 4gb ram running Win7. Will probably be upgraded to an i7 system in the next 6m -1yr
Mainly play WOW but looking for something that will run BFBC2 well.
Leaning toward a 5770 or if very lucky a 5850 but looking for any suggestions

What resolution do you game at?

1680 x 1050 or lower = HD 5770

1920 x 1080 / 1200 = HD 5850

2560 x 1600 = ummm.... HD 5970
 
HD5850 convers almost all games at 1920x1080, I was also able to get through Metro2033 at this resolution with only a couple of slow downs here and there.

You just missed the deal on them too at compusa :(. If you can't afford it go with a HD5770 or wait and see where the prices go after tomorrow's Fermi release. All things are pointed to ATI raising prices though....
 
5850 would be your best bet if you need a new card right now. With the price gouging going on currently a 5870 just isn't worth it. Another option is to just wait a few more months and see how the market is after the nvidia releases have had time to settle in.
