I need a new power supply. My 550 watt, 19amp 12v rail Antec isn't doing the job anymore.

I don't want to have to upgrade if I SLI in the future with a 9-series Nvidia, so, which power supply am I looking at?

Needs to be modular, and good efficiency is always a plus.

By all accounts I have read Corsair,OCZ and PC power and cooling are great and efficient power supplies. I would have to give the nod to Corsair for price, build, efficiency and the 5 years warranty. I would try either the Corsair HX520 or HX620.

Appearantly if you would like to run a powerful and efficient power supply you have to calculate how much power you need and then buy the right watt rating. Buying too big or too small (in watt rating) will get you a inefficient power draw. Watts however is not the only measure to look at. The amp rating on the 12 volt rail(s) should also be considered when hooking up a system.

I would also consider the Seasonic M12 600 watt. I love mine, its currently handling a 8800gtx SLI system.
