I'm looking for a mic for my comp and was thinking of getting the Logitech USB desktop mic, does anyone have any other suggestions.

I'm going to be mainly using it for gaming.

I use this headset with a built in mic. The headset in simulated 5.1 surround. The mic is great, it eliminates background noises when recording, so you get crystal clear input.

unreal tournament 2004 special edition

I already bought the normal edition because special edition was sold out and I hate waiting for things, oh well. Thanks for the suggestions.

I use a $.50 1997 CTX Clip on mic. It doesnt eliminate background noise, but somehow its clearer than my Plantronics .90's. I use a pair of Boise Triports for the 'phones ;)

I just have a Logitech Premium Headset. Gets the job done, the mic is pretty good. The phones suck, but most phones do. Soon gettin' sennheisers :).

I use my ps2 mic and have the game coming through my speakers while teamspeak comes through the headset. I'm CHEAP!

That was my setup for about 2 years. Now that I have my dsp-400's I'll never use any speaker setup (7.1 or whatever) again. :) I didn't have to buy an audigy, cuz the dsp come usb with build in simulated 5.1 surround :) so 80$ and no complaints.

I've been looking at those for a while now. I think I'm going to pick myself up a pair when I'm a little less strapped for cash. Don't get me wrong, I love my speakers but I wan't a good headset for lan parties and what not.

Generic Walmart brand for $15.99! w00t! Headphones are extremely rarely used by me, so their quality isn't all that important to me as strapped for cash as I am.

The headphones themselves are of extremely degenerative quality, but the microphone on it suits my needs, despite a few choice words from others in my Natural Selection clan on occasion.
