Looking for a LCD Monitor that could replace my broken CRT Monitor

My good old CRT is broken the dark pictures are not displayed as good as usual.
So now i'm trying to find a CRT replacement but don't know what i should buy. I did read a lot of reviews for over a 1 week and i'm still not sure what LCD Monitor i should buy.
The LCD Monitor have all some problem that CRT Monitors didn't had and i don't want to buy a Monitor which is a lot worse than my CRT.
I would pay 300€ for a new LCD Monitor 23" - 27" (preferring a 27") i would also pay 100€ more if the LCD Monitor is worth it.

I found this two 27" LCD Monitor what do you think would be better one for my CRT replacement? or is there another 23"-27" LCD Monitor that is better?

The reviews are also little bit confusing the two website rate the Asus VE278Q differently.
