Hey guys, I have been looking around for sometime now, I can't seem to find a keyboard I was looking for, I'm looking for a laptop keypad style keyboard...quite and thin, I saw one a long time ago at Office Depot? but can't seem to find it anywhere now. Do they even make these anymore?

Whatever you do stay away from Logitech's Dinovo. They're the biggest over priced piles I've ever seen. I'm on my second one and on both the spacebar doesn't always register. For $100 you'd think they'd make it work better than a $5 generic. Thanks to Logitech, and yet ANOTHER poorly made product from them, I'm looking for a new keyboard as well. You'd think after three non-fuctioning trackballs, one broken mouse, and four broken gamepads I would have learned my lesson.
 
Whereas I agree that the Dinovo is not exactly a great keyboard, the Dinovo Edge is a great keyboard. It is expensive, but it is exactly what the op is looking for.
 
The edge looks nice, but for me there are two issues:

No keypad.

It uses BlueTooth. Bluetooth is software I'll do without, thank you. I don't need that kind of overhead just to run a keyboard. Shame it isn't just standard wireless.

I have the full-blown DiNovo keyboard/keypad/mouse set. The original. The bluetooth software alone add's 30 seconds to boot time just to initialize, and you almost have to be a rocket scientist to understand all it's configuration setup.
 
How about an IBM UltraNav? I have one at work. Its handy for out in the field because its compact and has the built in mouse joystick or fingerpad.
 
Those boards looks huge:rolleyes: , I remember it was around 75$, There wasn't a touch pad on it. The keys were very similar to a laptop's keys, and the keyboard it self was very thin. You guys have never seen one like this before??
 
I have several of them. They are deeper than normal, but narrower than normal (due to the touchpad).

They keyboard is the EXACT same keyboard used in the T40 and above Laptops, trackpoint and all.

I would not be suprised if it wasn't the same part number, just set in an external case.

BTW... They are also available with the keypad. Those are the one's I have.

The one's without the keypad are called the 'travel' version.
