I was going to get the NSK2400, but I'm thinking maybe something smaller.
I have a mATX board and one 3.5 hard drive, no optical drives or expansion cards.

after using coolermaster, antec, thermaltake and nmedia i would still choose the antec fusion over any of them when it come to features at this size. it is only an inch deeper then my denon avr-686s and it look beautiful. the fusion has the same guts but the nsk2400 has a nicer price tag.

nmedia has some smaller one but lack in hight was balanced by a very wide and hugely deep case. build quality is good but nothing next to antec and coolermater.

coolermasters good htpc cases are out of circulation now.

I have the NSK2400 I love that case, I'd recommend it to anyone.

If you're concerned with quieting your HTPC at any point, I wouldn't go with a case much smaller than a NSK2400 as once you start getting smaller from that point you start loosing the ability to use standard (quieter) ATX PSUs and have to use smaller (louder) fans to cool your case. Its also nice to have the option of dual HDDs and Opticals (On the Fly copying FTW) in the NSK2400 even if you don't plan on using it initially.

fo my living room i am going with a small thermaltake htpc case but i am well aware of what i am sacrificing to use it. when you go smaller then the fusion/nsk2400 you are left with cases that only fit low profile add in cards and few drives. i dont mind using a riser card on my second htpc because i dont need a lot of storage and i am not shooting for a powerful machine as it will only be a relay for watching movies in the main room in the house.

if you are only planning on one media center that will also store your collection then go with the fusion/nsk2400. you can fit an ODD and 3 hdds in the fusion and there is plenty of room for high end guts. the same can be done with the nsk2400 if you give up one of the 5.25 slots.

my vga card fits with plenty of room.

with two 500gb hdds in the cage this is where i put a 250gb for the OS and other system crap.
