Looking for a [H]ard Surge protector

Need to protect my goodies. Any recommendations on something that won't break the bank but also will keep my things from frying? thanks

Almost anything APC. Do you want just surge or surge/backup?

just surge. Have read some online guides, but I was looking more for real world experiences. The online guides I've found suggest protectors that cost upwards of 100-200 bucks. Reviews and info on protectors at newegg seem to be adequate in the 15-40 bucks range.
