I guess my hands fall into the range of small/mid so it's often difficult to find something that fits my hand.

I tend to palm the mouse and use my thumb and pink/ring finger to push the mouse while dragging them on the mat.(helps me stay precise)

I replaced my G9 for a DeathAdder because something about it cramped my hand.

Unfortunately the DeathAdder is just too large overall and my thumb begins to hurt. The G3 is very good base for me but not ergonomic enough. The G5 is way too big.

I wish I could try some new mice out but my Best Buy does not have any of their gaming mice out on display. It seems like the Lachesis is next on the list to try but since I just bought the DeathAdder I don't want to spend $80 on a mouse.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: (I tend to use 1600dpi for regular aiming, 400dpi for sniping)

Sounds like a bizarre way to use a mouse... just saying.
 
Logitech VX Nano was a great mouse for me until I switched to the G5.

If you'd used a Razer, you would know ;)

OP, I recommend trying to check out a diamond back by Razer, bit smaller, might be what you're looking for in a mouse :) (3g or original. Both are the same shape. 3g is just Death Adder internals)

I've been eying it... I had the original Diamondback but it was too slippery. It looks as though the DB 3GB fixed that issue but only has 125hz and a 800/1800dpi switch only. (no 400dpi) No driver updates have fixed it yet. Razer has to make this so hard :(

EDIT: I'm beginning to think I'm screwed. I'm going back to my G9 for now until I can get my G3 from my parent's place. I gave my Copperhead to my friend, that was nice but just a tad bit too narrow.

I'm going to head out to another Best Buy and try Circuit City as well.

2nd edit: I was only able to try the MS Sidewinder unfortunately. That mouse is way too bulky. I returned my DeathAdder and ordered a Lachesis for the same price. The G3 seems to be the best for my hands now... too bad that Diamondback 3G is gimped by bad drivers otherwise I probably would have got that.
