I'm in the market for an LCD TV between 32-37" for under $1600. I do not know who makes a good TV nowadays and what are the things to look for and not look for in an LCD TV. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I should mention I plan on using HDTV. Do I need a TV that is 1080 or 720p? Is there a big difference between the two?
