Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Oh yeah, IBM makes the uber laptops, but they tend to cost the part. Dang. They're real tough and durable, with a no nonsense design.
Apple makes sexy laptops, but the powerbooks aren't as fast as their competitors, aren't very durable, and don't have the greatest displays. The ibooks are killer though.
Sony makes sexy PC laptops that are pretty good too, they're kinda the apple of PC laptops as far as being design conscious.
Dell is the wide spread player, they make some good, some bad. Some people love em, some hate em. I've had a great experience with mine but that doesn't stop me from wanting an IBM next.
THere's a whole lot though, Sager, Toshiba, eMachines, HP and so on...
Just go over to the Mobile COmputing forum and even lurking will probably pull up some answers. But IBM is still definitely the Mercedes of laptops.
Rumor has it that sonys support ... leaves very much to be desired. [1]

well. my opinion on laptops is always that toshiba makes a killer laptop for a great price. i've never had a single issue with mine. i advise people all the time to go toshiba, you can pick one up for a decent price and it'll be good quality. they use intel parts but hey. nothing is perfect. ;p
