I am looking for a good 5.25" blu-ray burner. Preferably slot loading. This was one of the only ones I found but am unfamiliar with the brand. I am going to back up my photos onto BR - shooting with the Canon 5D MKIII and the RAW files are getting pretty big on my storage drives. I thought about picking up another HDD or external but have been wanting to buy one of these for a while now.

Thanks!

Slot loading drives aren't very common outside of externals and laptops. Why does it have to be slot loading?

It doesn't have to be slot loading. I just like them.

I bought the Pioneer one and it works great. I think Pioneer and LG pretty much make all of the drives for the other brands anyways.

If you have a Frys close, they have a LG OEM (no box) Blue Ray burner on sale through tomorrow for $67.00 after the instant savings.

Yes, but what happens if you have no software included? What do you get for software?
