I need to buy a new headset for gaming, something under $25 since I don't have too much cash to spend. I don't need anything crazy, noise canceling doesn't matter obviously, just something that will last, is comftorable, and good.

Browse newegg's headsets, sorted by price. Look for something with a decent warranty. You can't guarantee even with $200 headphones that a driver won't blow out randomly and die. Stay with a bigger brand with good warranties like Sennheiser, imo.

If you can save a few more bucks, IMO aim for something better like Sennheiser's PC150. You can get it for $33 w/o ship here for example: http://www.compuplus.com/insidepage.php3?refer=froogle&id=1004400
 
I'd recommend the Sennheiser HD201 and a cheapo lapel mic :) Good quality sound, within your budget.

I think the Sennheiser HD201 is what I am going to go with.
