Looking for a file transfer program

I use logmein for remote access when I am away from my desktop. The problem is, I sometimes need to retrieve some files and they tend to be huge (they usually range from 100MB all the way to 2GB). Since I have complete control of both systems, what would you guys recommend for something like this?

I have found one such program, it is called Tirminal. It works pretty well, it sends an e-mail to all the people you want to download the files and it makes a secure HTTP connection between the host and the guests. The only downside is that my upload is pretty low, about 50KBps (it translates to your maximum download).
