Hi guys,

Following up on my last thread, I was about to order a Western Digital Black 1TB drive, when it struck me that I should really do something about the HD cooler I have in my system. It's been there for years, and is half knackered with noisy fan bearings. It's a cheap as chips 5.25" bracket mount, with 3 front fans on a panel. It does the job since my pcs on pretty much 24/7 it could do with a replacement. What do you guys recommend? Preferably something more elaborate, I am looking at one of these but they're quite expensive

Got any suggestions?

Cheers,
Dawson

Zalman ZM-2HC2 looks good.

I would like to buy two but I only have two 5.25 bays left... Do these allow enough space for another drive to mounted in the bay directly above?

I'm inclined to agree with the linked article. If you're concerned about the power dissipation, pick up the Hitachi E7K1000. It's performance is comparable and has an idle power dissipation that is 2 watts less.
