A few months ago, I built a computer for my aunt and uncle, using this case from NewEgg. It worked fine until early December, when it started randomly rebooting and other locking up. I determined the problem was the power supply, so I ordered a replacement which I thought was correct. Unfortunately, InWin decided to use a proprietary form factor, so I had to order a new case with the proper supply. Everything was working properly again until Wednesday, when the new supply also went bad. I don't want to have to order a new case every time the power supply dies, so I've been looking for a good, yet cheap mATX case that uses a standard power supply, or even one that uses the smaller eMachines style supply. Can anyone make any recommendations? I'd like to spend under $50 shipped if possible. Thanks for any suggestions.

Maybe I don't understand, but couldn't you just buy a power supply?

Proprietary means not working with anything else. And apparently the power supply that the case has only comes with the case. Although I'm skeptical, have you tried looking into the standard mATX size power supplies?
A suggestion for a fellow Minnesotan (cold enough for you too!? 
).
I just set this case up that I ordered from Computer Geeks and it gets the job done for my mATX board that I am using to run linux. A few things though....it DOESN'T include an I/O plate, so you will have to find one or use an old one.....and if you want a front intake....prepare to cut it out yourself. Either I am mental and didn't see how to mount a front fan, or it doesn't allow for such a thing unless you cut it yourself. I just cut mine and used zipties to hold it in place....ghetto I know....but no one ever sees the inside. Also, the harddrive has to share the cage with the floppy. It says on the product page that you need a mATX power supply...but I have a full size one in and it fits fine without any modifications having to be made.

Also, only two of the screw holes line up. I'll try that case Tiny suggested, it looks like a Compaq case, which is (mostly) standard these days.
