Looking for a cheap bare bones gaming PC

No, looking at getting a system with Windows 7 pre installed. Preferably 64bit.

Trying to help some guy get a new computer setup who isn't local. I doubt he is capable of building it his own so this is why I'm going this route.

The idea is to get a Dell referb or tigerdirect/newegg bare bones and to then toss in a decent video card. Not all Dells will accept a dedicated video card upgrade and the power supplies that come with the newegg/tigerdirect bareones are horrid. You are talking Diablotech quality for a gaming rig. It would be ideal to get a quality low end PSU from someone such as Corsair or Antec pre installed.

Most of the video cards that come in these builds are the equivalent to an AMD 6670 aka junk. Would rather save the money buy purchasing a system without a dedicated GPU.

If anyone could suggest a PC for $400-700 and a GPU in the $150-200 range that is what he is looking for.

The user will be gaming at 1080p and plays a mix of everything from CS, MW3, BF3, RO2, etc.

I'd hop onto the Dell Outlet website and pick up some sort of Quad Core Intel box with at least 4GB RAM (realistically fine for gaming) and a big case and 16x PCI-E slot, then just throw in a HD6850 or something similar.

The above for this one was ~$550 (again, not sure about shipping/taxes).

Both of these are XPS 8300s.
 
Why opt for a bare bones? With a $900 budget you can buy all the parts separately and end up with better quality parts than buying a bare bones system which generally cheap out on the PSU, then case, then HDD, then motherboard, so on and so forth until it gets to a price point that makes the rest of the stuff look good.

It seems like he doesn't want to build a PC then ship it.
 
Oh. I thought he was going to order a barebones system, upgrade it then ship it to him since the guy who it's for isn't capable of building the rig. So he is capable of upgrading/swapping out components? Sounds like he'd be qualified to build it to me.
