Ok so my younger brother has asked me to find an audio switch for his pc setup. He has some creative 5.1 speaker setup that connects using the analog inputs, and he also has a pair of 5.1 zalman headphones. I have tried to talk him into getting a pair of Sennheiser's but what can I say, he likes these. So instead of getting alot of suggestions on different system setups, I'm really more looking for product suggestions. I have seen those little 2 channel speaker/headphone switches and yes 3 of those would work, but I'm trying to find that in 1 unit. I did find some Zalmn amplifer thing that would split the audio, w/o the soundloss but its over $50 and is really more than is needed. Also he has tried Y splitters and found the sound loss to be too much. So if anyone has any suggestions/knowledge of such a product, please let me know. Trying not to have to build this myself, just don't have the time/will.

thanks,

Well I have still been unsuccessful at finding anything that suits my needs. Xmas is coming up fast, so it looks like this might end up being a diy project. If there are any knowledgable members out there, since I'll be making this myself, I was thinking I might try and add a volume control for the headphone output. Only way I know how off the top of my head is using a potentiometer for each channel. My guess is this isn't the cleanest way to do it, but figured anyone ok w/ using the Zalmans prolly wouldn't notice the difference. Only thing is trying to figure out how to make 1 knob control 6 different pots. Any idea/suggestion/recommendations are welcome.
