As the title says, I am looking for a 4TB USB3 storage solution. I am going to be moving and traveling a lot in the next year and wont have access to my desktop computer for a good part of that.
My laptop has multiple USB3 ports so I think that is the best solution since I dont have e-Sata on this laptop. I have had soo many externals fail on me at work (even though I can just rip out the drives) that I have lost confidence in many of them. Anyone have any recommendations? I am completely confident I can put together one by buying the drive and enclosures seperate, but I dont recognize and/or have any experience with a large portion of the external enclosures companies.
I would prefer a single drive setup so I am not carrying around a giant brick. The only 4TB drives at the local fry's are hitachi deskstars, which dont seem bad, but most of the enclosures are made by SIIG or VYPER.
Anyone toss me a setup pretty plz?
