Looking for 5v LCD's in colors

i have had no luck finding 5v or 12v led's to mod the lcd's on my case.
i dont want to mess with running resistors so i just want native 5v or 12v lcd's. I know they are out there but i have had no luck finding them.
Anyone know where to get em?

Are you possibly talking about leds? Or do you really mean lcd? There are plenty of lcds out there that run on both 5 volts and 12 volts.

Bestbuy has a bunch of LCDs but if you want them in different colors, you may want to try colorware.com,they do a nice job with that kinda stuff

plus i have limited space to work with and i need the flexability of braded wire.

Your selection is going to be VERY limited. LEDs just don't typically operate at those voltages. Digikey has over 3000 types of LEDs, but I think I am counting 21 that run on 5 volts, and about half of those they don't even stock. I am counting about 23 12V leds, but again, a lot of those they don't stock. Also, watch the sizes on those 12V ones; a lot of them are 10mm.

Maybe you could just hide the resistors somewhere else. The wires have to start somewhere, so maybe you could put the resistors there instead of at the leds.

Hide them in heatshrink. You're going to need an insulative covering anyways, so why not slip the resistor in there too...

ya i know you CAN but the cases i have on hand use red, green and blue 5v led's. so i know they are out there just have to find em!
