Like the title says i'm finaly ready to get rid of my 60hz monitor. Been wanting to by a 24"120hz monitor for a long time. My budget isn't huge i'd say $400 and under is all i can afford. I play alot of fps games. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

idk about 24", but the Planar SA2311W is a fantastic 23", probably the one of the best 120hz(/3D) LCD monitors you can buy

try Asus VG236H without the included 3D Vision kit. It's a 120Hz 2ms monitor. Great for gaming. :)

I've really liked my AW2310s, have had them from 15 months, overall great monitors I think.

thank you for the responses. I've been looking at all 3 of those. tho the Alienware one seems i bit pricey for me. i have been bouncing back and forth between the planar and the Asus one for awhile just can't really make my mind up. Just curious if there were some i hadn't seen. i've been checking here for awhile off and on. those 2 have been my picks so far tho so thank you

I can't seem to get rid of my Samsung 17" SyncMaster 793MB CRT. GL on your search. I was looking into this one: (Link)

Still doing my own research on this.

You can try the BenQ or wait for some of the new Samsung models to release.

The LG is the fastest but has the worst image quality. A colorimeter is required to make the picture acceptable and it uses LG's aggrssive AG coating which makes whites+light colors look dirty/grainy and dulled. Most of the other 120hz panels have good default color and the Asus is the most consistent color accuracy wise across multiple reviews.

The Planar is the best matte (anti-reflective) 120hz monitor. Unless it is unavailable there is no reason to consider any of the other matte 120hz panels given the Planars superiority and similar pricing.

The Asus is the best Glossy 120hz panel, but it is only competing with the new Samsung models which can't be purchased w/o the glasses.

Anyone familiar with (this) particular model? I might pick two up, they're so cheap. They also seem to review quite well.

yeah the glare of the asus is the only drawback i see too it. i'm really leaning towards the planar atm. think i may put in my order amazon has it for $326 atm which isn't bad at all. thanks for all the posts. i had been leaning towards the Planar for awhile and i like the matte monitors more.
