Looking for 19" CRT, need help

I don't have the money to get into a decent LCD, so please don't suggest one of those. I hear a lot of discussion in reviews over the 'aperature lines' but I don't know what they're talking about. Can someone please tell me what those are, are they a major problem in CRTs, and which monitor out of the two would u suggest?

I advise you to do a search of these model numbers; both of these have been discussed a lot. I don't think anyone will be able to say anything different from what's already been said.

Those are my monitor choices right now too. The viewsonic seems to be a hit or miss, some people have problems with it while others get a perfect screen. There seems to be less people having problems with the nec but the refresh rates suck....

Don't get the P95f+b.....I own one and it was horrible compared to my NEC (in signature)

But it's so tempting. I can get one for $270 CDN (225 USD) which is about half the price of the 930SB, which is out of stock everywhere. On the other hand the FE991SB's refresh rates are too low.

My roommate has one and although its bulky and ugly man does the picture look nice. BTW, whatever you do dont put this thing on a monitor riser thats built into a crappy laminated desk. It will smash it and your fingers and leave you screaming, cursing, and throwing various peripherals out of the way all while trying to wedge your body under the monitor so it doesnt fall on the floor. This makes for a most unpleasant experience.

I've got the black and silver one. Has a good picture but has the screen door effect.
For the price it is a very decent monitor. I paid $155 at Best Buy for it. I bought the floor model since I needed a monitor that day and wanted that model and they were out of stock. Normal price was $199. I bought the 3 year instant replacement warranty with as well since they lowered the price so much. $195 out the door with warranty and tax.

I have a Flatron F900P and thoroughly enjoy it. Perhaps an F900B would be within your budget? It's also an outstanding crt.
