Looking at 2 monitors...suggestions needed!

I have my mind set that I want one of these two monitors, so please, no suggestions for anything else!

THIS
monitor is widescreen, so thats why I want it...the response time is 16ms....but...

THIS
monitor has an 8ms response time but its not widescreen....I can't seem to figure out which one I want....I want widescreen, but I want faster response time as well....please help me out and give me your suggestions! Thanks guys. :)

Yeah, i know, but ive seen those monitors in action over there at best buy, and they look completely stunning, honestly, you have to see them to beleiev, man. they are so bright and crisp, its amazing!
 
Make sure you're not comparing them unless they're on their own separate computer input... when I worked at Best Buy, they usually had the really nice monitors hooked directly up to computers, and the very slightly less nice (or nicer, but less expensive) monitors all on a shitty analog splitter.
 
People, please, I just want suggestions as to which one to get, whats your opinion on one compared to the other, I don't care about some other monitor or how high the price is on these, if youre not here to give me a suggestion, then please don't leave a comment. :mad:

I think Sony 17" Flat-Panel LCD Monitor - Silver is better than widescreen, resolution is better and reponse time is faster. Build in TV tuner is not a big gift at all.
 
One more factor: 0.264mm dot pitch is better than 0.294mm, right?

You may check the reviews for Dell 2005w and 2001, the widescreen one has many problems
 
My Father has the first one (the Widescreen w/16ms response).
It looks REAL nice, but not the greatest at playing games (for him not a big deal since he doesnt play games).

The second would be better at playing games, also looks REAL nice, and is cheaper.. so you decide from there.. I am spent...

Didn't you hear him? He doesn't want advice on what monitor would be best for his needs; he just wants to know which of the two he has picked out is 'more t3h best0r!!!11'... :rolleyes:
