I wouldn't do it unless you have a very large desktop case. Hanging that one on its side in a tower is going to put major stress on a mainboard, as it weighs 665 grams. By comparison, the Thermalright SLK-900A, regarded as one of the best Socket A copper sinks and pretty hefty in its own right, is 527 grams.
