I was just driving home from a trip to my kids school, when a computer( desktop) comes flying out a house window almost landing on the hood of my car! I only live a block away from there, so I parked my car and walked back to the house. The case top and cpu heatsink(gateway p3 667) were still in the street-someone already grabbed the rest and went back in the house(thanks for the HS..more modding material). I walked up to the house(a bit pissed...I mean I would have cracked someones beak if it hit my car:mad: ) and rang 2nd and 3rd floor doorbells. NO ANSWER. I walk across the street to leave, and the harddrive/floppy/cdrom and cage flys out onto the sidewalk! OK.......ring bells again. This time the 3rd floor answers and says "wasnt me"( I kinda figured it was the 2nd). I rang the 2nd again with no answer.
FRAG!!! By now I was only hoping to walk away with the monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc. before they fly out the window too!!:D
My best guess............ Another pissed off woman after finding porn!! :D LADIES....dont break the computers.....GIVE THEM TOO ME!;)
UPDATE: The cdrom is scrap, the floppy is good, and as of right now-the HDD wont boot.

Hmph, you said gateway.....nuf said.

That's probably why the ragedy ass thing was thrown out the window.

So here's what you do. Ring there bell until they answer.
Then tell them you're a salesman selling gateways.......

re build the computer and sell it back the hard drive is probaly the problem. not porn.

got the cdrom tray to work after tearing it apart, it even was recognized by windows, but the thing wont spin a disc correctly...oh well.

ive never toyed w/ a cdrom before......the tray prob was kind of obvious. Any suggestions on how to "straighten" it?

He's just a babbling troll. Anyway, so you got a HS and a floppy out of the deal? Anything else that works?

I went back later and got the "case" that had the mobo, pwr supp, a stick of pc133(unkn. size, I'll check later-prob 128mb),and a celeron 667. I plugged the pwr supp in and two sec later it died, so i'll just rape it for its 80mm fan. It was only a 90w anyway. The ram i'll prob use in my thunderbird setup. I re-soldered an item( dont remem the tech name) on the mobo that was damaged by the pwr supp on its trip out the window, but i dont know if it works cuz i have no spare pwr supp to test it with. the mobo is an intel 810e micro atx(on board sound/audio/modem.

EDIT: Its a stick of 64 mb:mad:

Wow, that's really dangerous. If it hit you, you could've gotten seriously hurt. Congrats on making it out safe, with floppy:p

Are you kidding me I would have banged on that door and thrown out something official sounding like.. "This is the Computer Crime Prevention Group open the door!"

Then I would have given them their stuff back and politely said. "If you want to keep throwing crap out the window do it somewhere you won't have charges pressed against you and left. If they did it again i would call the cops. Clothes are one thing... but DON'T abuse the computers.

^ u got that rite.

The motherboard WORKS:D .
Total free parts: flex-atx socket 370 w/video, audio,4 usb
80mm fan
socket 370 celeron 667
64mb pc100
heatsink
(floppy stopped reading disks)
Not bad I figure;)

Holy shit I started reading this and I was thinking it sounded familiar, then I looked at the date and saw this was the same one from a month and a half ago.
