logysis PSU

Are you really going to put a $17 power supply into a case with expensive hardware costing hundres, maybe even thousands of dollars?

my budget’s about 400-500 dollars for everything.
if i find someone selling a nice one, then ill hit that up.
i dont need one thats already sleeved, seeing as i have about 2 full sets of sleeving.

20-40 dollars
edit:maybe more, i need 500 watts at least.
im getting a dfi lanparty board.
a gig of ram(ddr400)
an nvidia GPU ,7600 gt or higher

what about this deal?
i dont really like the bezel, but i can fix it.
id prefer finding a centurion 5 with a nice PSU though.

I would put a $5 Ultra X-Finity in any of my systems ;)

I have that case in black and it is very nice....improvement over the old school Chenming it's based on.

The motherboard doesn't determin anything on a PSU (besides the ATX connector). Their recommendation of at least a 480W PSU on any DFI board is crazy talk.

OP, a 400W Enhance ENP or Enermax Liberty 400W are two quality supplies that will work well.
You have much to learn about DFI & their uber OC'ing mobos.

Check out DFI-Street.com sometime. ;)

i doubt ill over clock it.
i want a centurion 5 reallll bad, and i guess ill just find something around 500 watts.

Oooooo, overclock your RAM timings and FSB speed 200mhz or so, that must mean you need a 480W Powersupply, at least! OCing your videocard or CPU will put more load on the PSU sure. OC your motherboard, not as much. And I would never spam my brain with the likes of DFI street members :D :D

i just got it because i knew it was a good board.
i might do that thing in the BIOS increasing the speeds or whateve.
im definately not doing any pencilling though.

but i think i might go for a 550 just to be safe.
is a thermaltake soprano better than the centurion 5 cooling wise?

I say go for the black Ultra Aluminus with the 500w V-series psu if you're on a budget. My budget is a little higher but I still got an Aluminus case and I like it quite a bit...really easy to hide cables and wires in this thing.

The DFI N4's are yje BEST AMD OC'ers ever! ;)

i just went with a logysis 550 watt.
im poor :(
buy some of my stuff FS and maybe i wont cheap out on parts : )

Damn man, for the price of the logisys, which probubly only has 18a on the +12v rail (if it can even do THAT) you might have been able to pick up a nice FSP AX 450w. Only 450w, but with a hell of a lot more power that it can actually put out, than even the biggest generic psu's.

I hope you have a warrenty on all your parts. Watch that PSU like a hawk...those crap PSUs are worse than Ultra's X-Connect (thankfully they fixed the issues with X2 and Xfinity...I think LOL)

it has 4 stars on newegg, but if it blows up, im sure the law will be on my side.

good luck on that one. i thought u said you were 15 and had no job, hence poor. how can you afford a lawyer? maybe i'll see you on court TV but you know there are court fees too right?

Uggh!!!

You're breaking my fucking heart here. Newegg reviews were written by other 15 year olds and the only way the law is going to be on your side if a PSU blows up and kills your computer is if it burns your whole house down.

PM me your address. I'll send you a PSU.

Take him up on it anything he sends you is bound to be better! As for cheap power supplies I have a friends computer sittin beside me waiting for him to get a new powersupply and motherboard, luckily his processor and ram tested ok just took out his $90 Motherboard with a $20 powersupply I warned him about o well he's spendin some extra for quality this time!

From new egg:

Not Happy

Pros: Price...

Cons: It is not dependable at all. If you have a video card that requires much power you'd better steer clear of this. Mine shuts down in almost every game. Power just goes completely out.... More »

Beware

Pros: It lasted a month...

Cons: It lasted a month... More »

Other Thoughts: smelled like burnt cheese and olive oil.......

This thing is a poor joke, in bad taste! :(

So you're basicly trying to run:
-DFI NF4
-7600GT
-1gb ram
-not a ton of drives
-Probubly a single-core processor.

So that's not a ton of load. I'd rather have a quality 400w than a non-quality 700. I run more stuff than that on a mere 420w power supply (which has 30a on the +12 :p). I'd still go with a fsp 400w, since they can actually do what they're rated at, and has more power than that logicrapsys.

:( shitty psu's make bbq angry and want to grille a steak.
