Anyone successfully used Hamachi and VMWare on the same computer?
I couldn't get my VM to access the internet no matter what I did with Hamachi installed.

why use hamachi? just curious, normal logmein is fine here, VM's and all

I got hamachi and VMplayer 3 on my home box. I installed hamchi last night to sync my FAHlogs from work/home for total monitoring.

Which networking mode are you using for the VM? I think i'm using NAT.

I wanted to be able to monitor the 2 boxes that are running at my Aunt's office.
Since fahweb is down until after the holidays I can't just take a quick peek to see if the other i7 is running unless I login using logmein.
The only problem with using logmein is that she uses the i7 as her work computer and I can't just check it whenever I want.

If anyone knows of a website similar to fahweb point me to it. :)

I'm using an app called SyncBack. Its running on one of my servers at work and on my desktop at home. It monitors the local log files and when there's a change it uploads it to my ftp server. Like-wise it monitors the remote files on the ftp server and when they change it downloads them.

This way i got a copy of all my work boxen log files at home and all my home files at work.

However I need to use hamachi to upload my work log files directly to my home pc because ftp uploads are blocked.

I think that I tried everything but changing the VM to NAT.
I sure feel like a genius right now

I'll have to give that a try. thanks!

Why not use HFM.net?

It publishes a webpage for your stats.

will it work if you're using two HFM.net instances with different clients? Or would one overwrite the other when publishing stats?
