Word, k here's the problem people, I just got my Z680's about a week ago, upgraded from the Z2200's because my friend was looking for a good pair of speakers and I figured why not upgrade to the surround sound...Anyways I love the speakers and the surround sound everything is great, but it just doesn't seem like I can reach high levels of volume? I can turn the dial on the control almost up to 90% and it still seems like my music could be alot louder! Now I remember going up maybe a little less than halfway on the remote on my Z2200's and it was incredibly loud and still had the option to go louder so I am kind of dissapoitned if I cant get these to go any louder... Can anyone help me out here? I am running a Sound Blaster Audigy 2, so it can't be the sound card here??? Can it be the drivers for the sound card? Anything would be appreciated here.

check your sound options in your sound configs. Wave/Mp3s should go at 33% and Main Volume should be all the way.
 
Hmm.. I think it's just the speakers man. I was a little disappointed in the volume of mine when I bought them, especiall for DVD's in 5.1DD/DTS. The volume is just ridiculously low. Doesn't really seem like a 500 watt RMS system, more like around 100 watts. Just do some tweaking and make sure to try out different software for your mp3's etc. Remember though, it's better to have your music clean and lower than loud and distorting. Unless you like the grungy loud distorting :eek:
