Logitech: Z-40 vs X-530

I purchased a set of Logitech Z-40 speakers a little while ago to hook up to my 360 for primarily music, but gaming to some extent. The sound quality is incredible but some say that 5.1 is better fir the immersion effect, even if the quality itself isnt as good. So I was wondering which you guys would recommend- returning the z-40s would be no problem. Lets say its 70% for music, 15% for movies and 15% for gaming. Thanks :)
 
The X-530's would require a separate decoder in order to achieve surround sound as they don't accept the optical output of the xbox. I'd say it's not worth it. If you have good positioning of your speakers, good imaging will result.
