Logitech X-530 problem

Hi guys,
I recently bought these x-530 Logitech speakers and I'm pretty much satisfied with what I paid for but I've been getting this very unusual feedback from the speakers that just annoying me like nails on a chalkboard.

Anyway the noise is the speakers' projection of my hard drive working. I have checked the wiring and I can't come up with a probable cause I don't know much more about speakers than where to plug them in. Would a soundcard fix this? I'm currently using an onboard one.

Thanks.
