Logitech unifying receiver causes Win10 updates to hang

FYI, I've had at least 7 customers come in this week due to Windows 10 hanging in the middle of an update (most of them it was the anniversary update) due to the logitech unifying receiver. It gets to about 45% or so, reboots, then gets stuck on a black screen with the swirling dots in a circle. The first guy that brought it to me was stuck on that screen for two days. Unplug the receiver and it continues and finishes installing the update as normal. They have all been major brand laptops so far. Interestingly I have a receiver on two of my 3 machines(custom built desktops) and didn't get the same issue on them, so YMMV.
 
Thanks, fixed my problem.
Update was whatever rolled out today (all three systems updated, post Anniversary).

I have an i3 (4 gen) NUC. Windows will similarly not load if you plug the receiver into another port while the system is off.
