So yeah, I have never used a gamepad for a pc before, and just bit on a deal for a Logitech Rumblepad 2. I am trying to configure it to a few games and to be honest, I have no idea how to go about diong this. I'm pretty much a layman when it comes to things such as this, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Most games will allow you to bind actions to the buttons like you would on a keyboard. Select the action, press the button on the controller, and boom. If you encounter any issues mapping the controller buttons, download XPadder (Google it), which will allow you to map the gamepad buttons to different keys on the keyboard.

You can also load the latest drivers from Logi, then load an entire slew of game profiles into the driver program.

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate the help.

Yes, I downloaded xpadder and it still a bit confusing. How do I go about loading or downloading profiles?

Also the games I want to use the gamepad with, currently don't have an in-game menu for controller setup (Beyond Good and Evil and Bionic Commando: Rearmed).

I used the guide on their forum when setting up XPadder: http://xpadder.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=453

It is pretty confusing at first, but once you get it set up the first time you shouldn't need to do it ever again. You will have to have the program running while you play games though (it minimizes itself to the system tray).

Use the instructions in the link I gave you to set up a profile. The easiest way to do it is probably to bind each button to a keypress, so you won't need to deal with any special controller setup menus.

Also, BC:R has native controller support IIRC so you should be able to just play it without having to configure everything. If you can't, just set up XPadder.
