Is there any way for the mouse to not be so sensitive in games?
I have my sensitivity at absolute lowest for windows, and every game I have, yet it seems to be twice as sensitive as my old mouse settings.
Any special 3rd party programs? Thanks.
If you have low sensitivity, slow mouse speed, no acceleration etc. all setup in the Logitech drivers and in the games, there isn't much you can do, although I would have thought it would be possible for it to be as slow as you want.
it is possible for him to adjust his mouse as slow as he wants. I think he just doesnt realise there is almost always a mouse configuration panel inside his games. Your windows mouse speed is indepedant of game mouse speed, so you cant control it all from one applet. Youll need to go into each game and adjust it to what you like. Its pretty hard to miss this, especially if you have ever configured a key. Unless you go around learning all the default keys and never click on that "options" button in a game, you cant miss it.
But just out of curiosity, what games are you having difficulty with? I play a lot, so i might just be able to tell you exactly where you need to go...
...
Counter-Strike...
And I haven't missed any sensitivity setting in any games.
I set CS's Sensitivity to 1, the lowest possible.
With my old mouse, It was at 2.2, and slower, by quite a bit.
That's pretty much it, Half-Life games.
WHat was your old mouse? If it was an older ball type the 700 is going to track way better and be a ton more sensitive. If you've done all that was suggested. Your best bet is going to be to keep playing and get over the learning curve. In a couple weeks you'll be back to 100%
ok, so youre not a moron Interesting nontheless. I play CS too and use an optical mouse. Not an mx700, but i cant see how the difference could be interpreted here. My guess is that your mouse may require a custom driver to work. See if logitech offers any, since much of their hardware has custom features.
Microsoft Intelli Point was my old mouse. I loved it, the 5 buttons, and what not, but the peice of junk broke down after a year, and there was so much mouse wig it made me sick.
Also, what I find with the logitech mouse is... There's acceleration for games. If I move the mouse slowly, the mouse goes really slowly, but if I move it quickly, it goes fucking flying.
I'd like to turn this off, but when I turn off the "Disable mouse acceleration button", it decides to increase the mouse sensativty by about 32 times.
Something Logitech might want to look in to.
the mx series mice are rabidly popular, if this problem was prevelant, it would have been solved by now. Since you were definately using intellipoint drivers with your MS mouse, and you probably just swapped plugs without windows knowing, you DEFINATELY need to update your mouse drivers. Uninstall the intellipoint drivers right now.
The better method is to get rid of the logitech mouse, get an MS mouse, and load up the latest version of intellipoint
To this day, I can't figure out why people like logitech mice so much. Mousware just completely blows compared to intellipoint. I have tried extensively to get used to the MX700 and the MX900.
I'll take my trusty Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 any day over those mice.
The truth is, the logitech mice are nice in the hardware department, but the software just sucks so hard.
does anybody else have the problem where you set the mouseware to scroll 10 lines at a time, but the wheel only scrolls three or 6 no matter what you do?
Like I said, Mouseware just plain sucks. (That's only one example)
And I just tried the latest iteration for the MX900 this afternoon. bleh.
