The MX518 is a corded mouse tuned for gaming. Rebate expires July 10.

I would like to update this to "The MX 518 is a corded moused that excels at gaming".

Really, everybody knows this is the unquestioned leader in gaming mice if you want basic but effective performance. (I know I am going to get some feedback on that...)

And I hate to thread jack but that link you provided is kinda open to the whole MX518 search. I like this one.

This is a good deal on a 518, if it weren't for the MIR I'd pick one up, despite being a die hard IME3.0 user.

That said, I have used the 510 in the past, and the IME3.0 is still tops.

I use a MX518 right now and it is acceptable. Not my favourite, but it is very functional. G5 scroll wheel died after 9 months and I'm still undecided on what to replace it with, so the MX518 is good temporarily.
 
Best flipping mouse hands down Ive ever used. Granted I havent had the chance to use anyhting current G500 etc but I love this mouse. 4 years and it still owrks like a champ. I hate living in Washington anything on Amazon isnt a deal beacuase I pay taxes.
 
Had one for years, loved it. Moved to G9. Logitech Mice just rock.
 
I must say the greatest mouse ever made.

I have 4 of them still working around the place.
 
Kickass mouse, but it looks like Amazon has raised the price up to $42. I'm using one right now and if you don't need fiddly things like weights and a million DPI settings*, it'll do ya just fine. Logitech's warranty is pretty good too.

*and let's face it, only uber-l33t pro gamers really "need" that stuff.
 
I first real mouse I bought was a MS Intellimouse optical. Flat ass wore out the scroll wheel and left click button (Diablo) then got another. it was toast in a year. Decided to get the MS Night Vision. Hated the scroll wheel...no clicks. Then got a 518...loved it. Still use it...got another...STILL USE IT! Stepped up to a G5...like it...texture kinda felt weird, but gettin better with age and wear. Another couple years and I'm sure "like" will be replaced with "love". Too bad my two 518s are still kickin...no need to buy another. LOL
 
My only complaint with this mouse is that it's too light weight, I need to tune my mouse sensitivities in-game to simulate a weighted feel. I should have sprung for a mouse with weights in them. :eek:

Should have RMA'ed it. Logitech has great support. Just give them a call and 15 minutes later they will ship you a new one and tell you to just toss the defective one.

Sometimes they will upgrade you to a better mouse if you build enough rapport with the rep. Same with Microsoft. :c)
