Hey I was thinking of upgrading from my Logitech MX500 Cord Mouse to something more better. I was thinking on getting the MX1000 mouse but I heard some ppl say that there are not good for gaming , but I have also heard ppl say there are good for gaming so it's a 50/50 situaration. I really don't like the G series of Logitech Mouses so should I either keep my old MX500 or just replace it with a new one like MX700/MX1000?.

Thanks hope to here from you's.

If you're not sure, just keep the MX500. There's no real reason to change if you still like the mouse, right?

For what it's worth, my MX1000 games just fine.

I played 400 hours of BF2 with the MX1000, not too badly I will say. The only lag that exists is after several minutes of resting, then it goes to sleep, there is about 300ms for it to wake up. So unless you camp without moving the mouse AT ALL for five minutes or so, don't worry about it.

Not needing to deal with the cord is wonderful.

On the other hand, I also had the MX 500 before the MX 1000. The MX 500 is much lighter (no battery inside) but I find the MX 1000 weight is just fine.

Did I mention ot worrying about the cord was great?

It's up to preference really. The MX1000 isn't bad, at all. I used it for a while when gaming, but it just didn't feel right. I switched to a Razer Diamondback and haven't looked back. The MX1000 is very heavy in comparison, which is probably why it felt sluggish to me (I don't think there is an actual lag though, at least, there isn't supposed to be).

The MX1000 is too big for my liking aswell, but I guess I have smaller hands. Try it out first if you can, if you have a friend with one, to see if you like it.

The cord with my Diamondback isn't a problem anyway, I have a (free, w00t) mouse bungee. It seemed like a silly idea at first, but I haven't noticed the cord since I've been using it, so I guess it must work :)

I have the MX1000 and after using it, other mice just feel strange. It was a little bit awkward to get used to the weight since it is much heavier than my cheap $10 USB Logitech mice I've been using. I play BF2 with it as well and it works great.

Well I really need a new mouse my MX500 is dieing I think , the mouse would be just sitting there and it would move up real slowly (It maybe be haunted :D ) and its a will main when trying to modelll for the first time also I like the design and I think I may get it , I was just worryed about the laggish problem but if u say its fine with games then I'll get it.

Thanks

I used my MX1000 for games with no issues. I recently picked up a G5 mouse though and my MX1000 has been collecting dust.

Yeah I really don't like the G5 or G7 I know they are little better then the MX1000 but for some reason I just like the MX1000.

I went to a local PC store and they had one on display that I could touch and I liked it (has I said about the tenth time now).

The only down fall is that it is $150.00AUD Dollars at that store so I may goto my fav pc store (where I got my sig pc parts) to see if I can get it cheaper :D .

Also I'm getting a FATPAD (Fatal1ty Mouse Pad) with it also (in my order). If anyone has a FATPAD could you right down if they are good or not.

Thanks.

I have been very happy with my MX1000. It's the first mouse I've found that can come close to replacing my old logitech trackball. I'd replace that trackball but Logitech's trackball line has gone to shit lately.

I have a MX518, MX700, MX1000 and a Razer and the MX1000 is by far my favorite. I love the heavy feel it has and the button feel. The battery life is excellent compared to my old MX700 which used to run out on me during games.
