logitech MX for bluetooth
windows xp sp2
well when i installed both the mouse and keyboard using the setpoint program they both worked fine. but after i restarted the computer the keyboard stopped working, but the keyboard worked. The program said it couldn't find the keyboard. So i read the website and it told me to install the update and try again. so i did that and then both mouse and keyoard stopped working. so i uninstalled the software and reinstalled it. after that, i rebooted the system and then windows wouldn't laod. it does with another mouse and keyboard
i have no clue waht to do

Interesting, I had the exact same problem today. We just purchased a few of these for our company and the first set was working just fine w/o the SetPoint software and upon reboot the software came up asking to detect the devices which is normal for setting these things up as it is trying to associate Bluetooth addresses to certain devices. What seemed to work for me is simply restarting again and for some reason it worked.

In your situation I would first hook up another keyboard/mouse and uninstall any remants of the SetPoint software or the actual devices themselves from Device Manager if they are still there. You may even have to go into Safe Mode to make sure that everything is gone. Then hook the MX stuff back up, reload the software and try going through the Connect process again. If it does not work upon the first reboot, try another, and be patient with hitting the Connect buttons.
