Hi, i've been lookin for a new mouse and keyboard and i came across the MX duo. I like and it seems pretty cool. but my question is is there any lag w/ wireless mouse and keyboards, because i like top lay online games such as CS, DOD and battlefield and i cant have any lag from my mouse and keyboard. So can anyone tell me that has this if they can tell if theres any lag while playing games?

I haven't noticed any lag, but my keyboard would periodically disconnect, which was annoying so I traded for the wired version.

No lag with either.

CS, Q3, BF1942, Raven Shield, NFS Underground, Halo, and others.

The mouse is the most wonderful thing that anyone has invented. There is no lag within 6 feet of the Charger/Transmitter.

Have fun with your new Duo, they are wonderful.

I love mine too, for 75$ at newegg, it was worth it to me.

i have a MX700 and a cordless logitech keyboard (the free one they were giving out a while ago), and i've ever had any lag problems. i love 'em both.

in fact, i prefer gaming with my MX700 over my wired intelli explorer 3.0 :)

MX700 is arguably the best mouse around, wired OR wireless. I love mine - it is great - no lag...EVER! The keyboard is okay with the new software. I like the keyboard but I already have the mouse, and my friend brought the wireless combo back when the MX Duo didn't exist, so he has a keyboard and I have a mouse, and we gonna break it so he gets the mouse and I get the keyboard. Just thought I'd share.

alright thanks for all the replies. I just got done ordering it off of newegg. can't wait

swt man, i think ur gonna love it....when i got my Duo for christmas i about fell outta the chair...this thing is awesome, ive never had lag problems with it...in fact this keyboard is more accurate to my typing habits than the old POS i used for 2yrs was...gaming isnt a problem for anything ive tried so far...so in short the MX Duo roxors and i wouldnt trade it for anything =D

A little off topic, but it seems that a lot of you love the mx700 more than the Elite keyboard. I know that pricewise it's worth it (the mx700 can cost as much as $70 retail by itself  ), but is it possible to use the mx700 and its receiver with the natural keyboard that comes with the Cordless Natural Duo?

just another shout out for the mx duo. i absolutely love it, although i haven't been able to do as much gaming as i would like, mainly because my college doesn't make it easy to get a good ping.

I purchased a Logitech Elite keyboard and MX700 mouse combo and I did notice keyboard lag.

No problems with the mouse but the keyboard lag was kicking my butt with UT2K3.

I switched back to my old keyboard and didn't have any problems after that. Took it back to BestBuy and got an IBM Optical Explorer mouse and am happy.

Other than the problem with UT2K3 the keyboard and mouse worked just fine. Having both wireless was pretty neat and was quite nice.

From what I understand, the keyboard lagged, so you returned the keyboard and mouse and replaced it with an IBM mouse?!

For cordless, I think that those two can't be beaten...Well yet anyways...

Hope you like them once they get shipped!

The mouse is pretty heavy for a game like UT2k3...the concensus on most servers is that it is too heavy for such a high speed game...if i had to do it over, i would have gotten the corded version...

PS...Logitech Mouseware sucks.

yes this is too true. with logitech mouseware, its ultra sensitive, i turn the slider down in most games to lowest + lowest in windows, and its still too sensitive!

so i uninstall mouseeware, but now i cant bind my extra buttons. there has to be a way to make the sensitivity low like the windows driver, but let me bind my buttons to keystrokes.

The MX500s are weighted. With lead weights.

At staples right now the cordless mxduo is 59.99 after $20 rebate. So your still only paying 79 bucks....not too shabby

Bah. In my opinion, it needs to be more sensitive.

I dont have the keyboard, but I have the mouse, and love it. You could go multiple days off a full charge without recharging it again. For the lag topic, for me, I have a "natural" feel on a corded mouse that there is no lag, but on the mx700 it feels like there is a little lag, but thats after the first few days you have it. You also have to get used to it's weight. It is a little heavy compared to a corded mouse, but, you DO get used to it. The laser is on the left side(..looking at it from above, if you were looking at it from the bottom, the laser is on the right side and batteries are to the left) instead of the middle, and the batteries are right next to it on the right. Once again, I love this mouse, I give it a 10 out of 10.

good luck! :)

I don't have the MXduo, but I do have a Logitech wireless mouse :p

No lag what so ever and hasn't disconected at all :D
But, when my brother had a wireless keyboard by logitech it just sucked completely. I would have to reconnect the thing every time it rebooted and it would just drop out every once in awhile and I would have to reboot + reconnect.

Hopefully they fixed that in the MXduo, and have fun with your new kboard + mouse

ahh...I love the mx duo, congrats on getting it, one of my favorite peripherals and the mouse and keyboard look damn sexy to boot :D
