logitech gave me a 50% off code and i have no clue what is decent for a mouse now days........I still use my microsoft intellimouse for games. so any one have a good recomendation for a gaming logitech mouse?

Is it 50% off anything? Get a G27 :) Not a mouse, but awesome.

G9x. But I use a claw grip. I got the MW3 edition cause it's all they had at bestbuy. Normally don't buy game them stuff. came with a nice mousepad which I took to work. Also has a rough surface style body clip on thing. Don't know if the reg comes with that or not. But really sweet mouse.

I wish they made a wireless version of G9X.

I don't like wireless mice or keyboards. I'm not going to be typing across the room and I don't like replacing batteries.

heh, so you did like it huh? :D +1 G700
I love it! People have complained about the battery life but it doesn't really bug me, I can usually get in a good day or so of general use and some gaming thrown in there and be just fine. I leave my PC on overnight so I just plug the charging cable in when I go to bed, and my dad has an endless supply of Eneloops so if I really needed to I could just swap the battery out and keep on going. The tracking is superb and the button layout is very easy to get used to and comfortable to use. Definitely worth the $80 :D

I have a G9x and G700. I prefer the G700. It's a little bigger and the extra buttons do come in handy. I use it wired 24/7 in my mouse bungee.

get the G400, G500 G700 and g9x can't hold a candle to its tracking, the cord is very flexible too !

Left or Right hand?
What kind of mouse grip do you use?
Palm/Claw/Finger?
What games do you play? Need extra buttons?
Prediction or no prediction? (aka angle snapping)
List of mouse w/ and w/o prediction

Your intellimouse has minimal or no prediction and the only mouse Logitech offers w/ minimal to no prediction is the new G400v2 (older G400s have prediction, which was later removed)

It's going to feel the closest tracking wise to what you're using right now but it's still going to be vastly different because of the mouse shape/weight/size.

If you're only looking at Logitech, given that you have the coupon, my vote is for the G400.

I have a G9x and G400. The G400 is great for everyday use and certain games, but the G9x just seems to work better for FPS style games. The G400 is nice and comfortable, while the G9x is just too small sometimes. Still, I like them both.

I think the comfort of the mouse is the most important factor when choosing the mouse. As such, knowing how you usually grip your mouse will help you select the right one.
The G700 is great if you use the palm grip. The G9x is for a claw grip.
I usually use the claw grip so my recommendation is the G9x. It's comfortable, it glides smoothly and has been great for FPS and slower action games.

If there is a Best Buy store near you than why not pay them a visit and try some of the mice on display. See which one is the most comfortable for you.
