You know that infamous "negative acceleration" problem with some Logitech mice, that was supposedly fixed in the MX510? Where the cursor will seem not to track for just a fraction of a second and kind of stutter in place? Well, it's started happening on my 510. Uninstalling and reinstalling with the latest official driver for the 510 doesn't help. Just started a couple weeks ago and is getting worse. Any ideas?

Alternatively, does someone have a link for how to use the Boomslang drivers on a logitech mouse? Worth a try I guess.

Going to bed now, thanks in advance for any replies, will read tomorrow.

Wow, the same thing has been happening to mine. I have the MX510 and recently it's been very sluggish and unresponsive, if only for a few milliseconds. Very noticeable difference.

Not to question yo guys.. but.. I have to.. Do you know what a millisecond is? there is no possible way that you could actually Notice a millisecond.
LOL. I swear folks are just ridicolous. Do you know foolish that sounds?
Call up logitech tech support and say.. "Dude , for a millisecond I couldn't move the mouse!!!!!! help me!" I read that quote to my dad and he said.. sounds like these guys brains are slowing down. lol.

I have had my mx510 since doom3 was released..so far no problems.
And this is through new 3d card drivers,, dx update, service pack 2 and more. Maybe just maybe you guys are exagerrating? ;)

There are one thousand milliseconds in one second. Plenty of time to notice a laggy response. I've had this mouse for four months, and I can tell it isn't working correctly.

if you can't tell the difference between 3ms lag and no 3ms lag, I have a bridge I want to sell you. I grew up on 12fps, I'm sensitive now. 60fps is like drifting thru molasses.

Ok so I'm exaggerating. But 3ms lag is definitely noticeable to me.

Thats right.. you are exaggerating and you wonder why no one has answered the post? Keep the posts honest and folks will honestly answer you. Exaggerate like this and we might think you need a straightjacket. :) ;)

I've had a similar problem with my MX700 mouse recently. I took it to a friend's LAN party and ever since then it hasn't worked right. It will pause for a second or 2 sometimes when moving it across the screen. It also has problems moving small distances and angles sometimes. I have a feeling someone dropped it or something at my friend's house and the LED isn't reading correctly or something. Switching batteries made it a little better, but still getting the stuttering.
