Pretty straight forward:

Started with this, about 5 years old; showing wear and tear:

I removed the Logitech logo disk as it was scratched and losing paint and filled it with putty:

Sprayed with primer:

Still need to clear coat and reassemble. Will post more pics when complete.

Thats pretty cool, let us know how it works out for you. I'd be a little concerned about durability (the putty flexing and cracking), but if this works good, I might do the same to my G5 mouse. I can't stand the aligator skin texture of it... I'd prefer a flat smooth surface.

what did you use? Is it an epoxy? Or is it something like body filler?

Appreciate the compliment. I am probably going to clearcoat it tonight, and reassemble. As I mentioned, I will post more pics.

I will also keep you update on how it wears as I start to use it.

Not to be a thread killer, Because this does look good, But isn't this in the wrong section?

Wouldn't it be better suited in the Mice and keyboard section?

looks really good, something i need to keep in mind for when my G500 goes out of warranty, maybe ill be able to give it a coating that wont wear off as easy as the stock one
