im getting a new keyboard/mouse, and i am looking into the logitech lx 700. has anyone had any experience with it? and would there be anything better for that price?

You might want to look into the MX Duo as well. I'm not really sure what the diff is between the MX Duo and LX700, but the MX Duo can probably be found for a bit cheaper, and it's a very nice combo.
 
I've used it for about a month. Too heavy!!! If you're a FPS fan you should think about MX510.
It costs less than MX700 and the cord problems can be solved with some diveces, I definitely
know that Steelpad has a "cord holder" and also everglide must have a mouse bungee or something.
