Logitech keyboard help

I've programmed buttons on my logitech elite keyboard, it seems to only work for the ps/2 port, or the back port ( i dunno what it's called ) rather than the usb port.
I'd rather use the usb, because the keyboard doesnt lock up in here, but it seems like I cant program it for the usb... any help?
 
I have mine connected through usb. Make sure you have the drivers installed
