There is a discussion about these remotes in the HTPC section. I noticed that they 768 was on clearance for $59.99 after rebate, well they dropped it another 10 bucks so I posted it here.
Anyone have this remote? I just ordered it today. These used to cost over $150.

Too bad it wasn't the 688. I see the 659 is down to $90.

Great deal if you want their lower end models though. :)

I'm kinda lazy....what makes this remote so much better than your run of the mill universal unit?

is that really a logitech harmony remote? tehrs no info on their site about it

Logitech bought the company that makes Harmony remotes. This model actually game out before the sale. Here is a review of it...

You basically program it through your usb port and download the profiles for you equipment off the internet.

Well I got mine last week. It sure takes a lot to set this thing up. Although it does seem to work with all of my equipment.

I've got the 659 and its great for those who have family/friends who arent experienced in changing sources, audio modes, etc, etc. You just select an "activity" and go. Even my 3 year old understands it. It also has advanced programability as well. And its all controlled via your pc and a usb cable. It does tend to go thru batteries a tad quicker (6-8 weeks).

Two stupid questions, (yeah I didn't read the review)

1. Does it cnotroll the advanced features of the other remote like settings menues etc etc, most universtals skip that feature.

2. Controlled through USB you say? Hmm... can it be used like an IR blaster?

It would truely rock and be worthy of the cash if the answers were yes!

I bought two of these and love them. They control all the devices in the two rooms that I got them for, 2 tvs, 2 vcrs, 1 receiver, 1 mini-system, sirus tuner, dvd player, and xbox. They change all devices to the appropriate channel/input when you select the activity, and you can display up to two weeks worth of program listings on the LCD screen. The setup was easy as pie, less than 30 minutes for two full rooms. It's all done via a website, you could actually make your changes on one PC, and then update the remote from another. Totally pleased with these things.

I purchased the 680 through logitech's retailer program (posted earlier but thread got deleted) for $90. Love it! There's a few bugs I need to tweak but overall it does what it says it will do.

Highly recommended for anyone with multiple devices.
