logitech g500 wobbly scroll wheel?

Just got my g500 and the scroll wheel is really loose.

I think it was made that way by design but I'd just like to confirm.

Like if i move the mouse left/right fairly quickly like looking around fast in a fps, i can hear the middle wheel wobbling.
 
All of Logitech's free-spinning scroll wheels are like that. It's a result of how the mechanism works. You'll get used to it.
 
If it bothers you, disable the ratcheted mode while gaming (click the button under the scroll wheel). This fixes the problem, at least for me.
